Meet the Circle
- Arden Barlowe: Role, Face – an investigative journalist, previously employed at The Inked Reporter and currently penning for The Brindleborne Gazette. Few things get under Arden’s skin more than the injustice, inequity, and corruption she has observed in the world around her. Early experiences have toughened her against the many harsh and cruel realities of life. Arden is wary of the strange and unfamiliar. Her trust is hard-won, but those who manage to earn it are regarded with complete – almost pure – respect, loyalty, and love.
- Maude Fleurilly: Role, Weird – an embalmer for her family’s generationally owned mortuary, the long-standing Fleurilly Funeral Home in Newfaire. She prides herself in making flower arrangements, superior aesthetic choices, and bringing closure to lost souls as a medium. Maude has a penchant for using the Victorian language of flowers to communicate sensitive information to Candela Obscura. Don’t let this lovely lady’s colorful disposition and clothing fool you into thinking she’s all pastels and petals – especially if you have something against her friends.
- Manny Quinterros: Role, Face – used to spend his nights as a barkeep at the House of Renewal, a bar styled like an old church. Though not frequented by members of the Ascension, many faith-related conversations happen at Manny’s counter. He keenly observes and understands people, using his skill as a self-taught magician to keep them talking and feel heard. Manny’s childhood was steeped in supernatural tales from his grandmother. He shares these stories to honor her memory. Having lost his parents, who were delvers of Old Faire, and his grandmother early in life, Manny is fiercely protective of his friends, training both mind and body to safeguard them from harm.

Our motto being, “the dice decide,” we promise unpredictability and excitement in every episode.
